Once all four respiratory systems are killed you should return to the center of the room, equip your melee gear and prepare for phase 2. You need to move at least two squares away from these puddles to avoid taking massive amounts of damage.

In this manner you can attack once every time you move, allowing you to keep your DPS high while avoiding the poison puddles at your feet. Once the Sire is below 139 health, we will instantly teleport the player beside him and open up, ready to explode.

You now have two game ticks to move at least two squares away to avoid taking massive damage. After the AbyssalSire has exploded you can return to attacking him, until he teleports you again, at which point you should repeat the process again until he is dead.

These pools have a 3×3 AOE (1 tile from the center), dealing up to 10-30 poison damage every tick if directly on top of one. Each hit also has a small chance of inflicting standard poison, starting at 8 damage.

Each Sire's chamber is protected by six huge, static tentacles; three on each side, their placement completely symmetrical to each other. Despite appearing to take up a lot of space, the tentacles only attack players in melee range of them.

During phases 1 and 2, this is indicated with him regurgitating a juvenile spawn from his mouth, which then lands somewhere approximate to the player's position. Their ranged attack also causes them to nip the player, but a small black projectile is also launched.

This is up to personal preference, but players may either opt to teleport after two or all four respiratory systems are destroyed, although the former does give a time advantage since the Sire will DeShawn if not in combat within a minute from phase 2 and further. With the Sarah variant, players use their desert amulet 4 to teleport to Sarah, then use a quest point cape to teleport to the gates of the Legend Guild and return to the Abyssal Nexus with the nearby fairy ring.

This method only works with the southern chambers, as the northern ones are too far and will most likely deplete the player's run energy by the time they reach there. As a result of this method, players have numerous spaces to manage their inventory (which can clutter extremely fast), waste very little money on each kill (as this method significantly cuts down the use of prayer and stamina potions), the ability to use two special attacks per kill (players would be forced to use one special for each kill to manage special attacks for consistency), making a significant amount of profit that would otherwise be lost from supply cost.

Phase transitions are automatically done when the Sire's health falls under the required threshold. The Sire's attacks only consist of launching poisonous fumes and ejecting spawns from its mouth.

The tentacles are much of a hindrance during this phase, as they greatly reduce the max hit of your attacks to 3, and even then an experience drop does not guarantee that any damage is dealt to the respiratory system. When disorientated, the Sire and the tentacles will be stunned for 30 seconds, allowing the player to deal full damage against the respiratory systems.

The cheapest weapon to use is the crystal bow (which also has more range), although a toxic blowpipe loaded with adamant darts also suffices. If the systems are attacked when the Sire has regained consciousness, the experience drops will indicate that the hit was complete while its damage was in fact drastically reduced; a message in the chateaux will appear stating “You can't deal much damage with those tentacles getting in the way”.

Hit the Sire once at the beginning with your blowpipe on “Long Range” (change to “Rapid” quickly) and disorientate it with your shadow spell. Cast another shadow spell to disorientate the Sire (or resetting the timer if they are destroyed very quickly), then clear the other side.

Note: At this point, the player must kill the Sire or the whole fight will be reset. Like in phase 1, the Sire can create spawns and launch poisonous fumes, which are used more frequently if the player is not within melee range.

If you are using the POH method, use both of your Bands god sword or Dragon war hammer specials at the start of phase two after returning from the fairy ring. Without the POH method, it is only recommended to use one special attack per kill to conserve energy.

If health falls low, you may opt to clear the scions first, let them DeShawn or simply return to your house to restore stats. Note that the Sire will typically recover a large amount of health in the process, so this should only be done as a last resort.

The Sire opens a large portal within its body, causing spawns to emerge until it dies. As soon as the Sire reaches 139 Hit points or lower, it will teleport the player to the south, on the western edge of the safe middle zone.

It will then explode two ticks after teleporting the player, dealing massive damage if you don't move away in time. Like the previous stage, the Sire will use poisonous fume attacks, but only when the minion cap has not been reached.

Players with a dragon or crystal halberd can use the special to quickly kill the Sire before the summoned spawns turn into scions. This should be done when the player is near the southern area of the chamber, as there are two spots where players can safely cast blood spells on the minions, although the southeastern safe spot is more reliable than the southwestern one, as the scions have an attack range of 4 (similar to a blowpipe).

If using the twisted bow, it may be useful to trap the minions behind one of the middle tentacles, as they will not actively move around it to reach the player. When the Sire reaches 139 Hit points or lower, it will forcibly teleport the player next to it. It will then explode for up to 72 damage if the player does not get far enough and continually summons up to 10-14 spawns until it dies.

This means that other players cannot assist in the fight (although they can drop supplies if desired). The Sire only uses poison fumes and spawn launching against the player during this phase.

In order to progress to the next phase, the four respiratory systems in the room must be destroyed. When the tentacles start to wake, run back to the Sire and cast a shadow spell until it is disoriented.

The respiratory systems can only be attacked with either Magic or Ranged ; a Toxic blowpipe on rapid is recommended to destroy them quickly. A crystal bow can also be used; while slower, it does have much more range and results in you running a bit less.

Note that as of the 24 August 2017 update, the slayer helmet's effects will now work on the respiratory systems, so they should fall quickly to your weapon of choice against them. Hit the Sire once at the beginning with your blowpipe on “Long Range” (change to “Rapid” quickly) and disorient it with your shadow spell.

Attempt to take out two respiratory systems on one side (preferably the east ones first). Return to the Sire and cast shadow spells until it is disoriented, then take out the two respiratory systems on the other side.

Note: At this point, the player must kill the Sire or the whole fight will be reset. During this phase, all six tentacles in the chamber will be disabled, so they will be unable to damage the player during this part of the fight.

However, safe spotting the Sire will result in it forcibly teleporting the player next to it, before following with an unlockable attack dealing moderate damage. Switch back to Protect from Missiles during the phase transition animation.

Stage I The Sire walks to the middle of the area, and will stop attacking with Melee. Select two tiles that are within melee range (make sure they're out of the reach of the tentacles), attacking the Sire in a 1-2 format.

Stage II The Sire opens a large portal within its body, causing spawns to emerge until it dies. The Sire will explode two ticks after teleporting the player, dealing massive damage if you don't move away in time.

Keep attacking the Sire, going under and behind it, so the summoned scions will take slightly longer to reach you. Players with a dragon or crystal halberd can use the special to quickly kill the Sire before the summoned spawns turn into scions.

If you need to heal yourself, lure the spawns/scions while casting Blood Burst / Blood Barrage ; their negative MagicDefence should ensure that your spells will hit and heal a large portion of your health, even if you have a negative magic bonus. If using the twisted bow, one can simply trap the minions behind the middle tentacles and range it from afar, as the Sire will not forcibly teleport players during this stage.

Other advantages of this include the ability to use all your special energy each kill and have space to pick up your drops.
