It has a long thick mane and tail, and the predominantly gray or bay coat has a natural glistening sheen to it. This horse has a lovely rocking canter and such stamina that its forbears were reputed to be able to carry a fully armored Spanish soldier for 40 miles (64 kilometers) in a day.
Powerful hindquarters and natural balance make them very good and stylish show jumpers too. European cave paintings of horses, dating from around 20,000 BC Andalusian's were in the company of Hannibal and his elephants, and ridden as cavalry horses since the time of the ancient Greeks, but lost favor during the Middle Ages because heavily armored knights required much larger, more solid animals for battle.

However, as the gait is four-beat instead of two-beat the ride is exceptionally well-balanced, with both legs on the same side move, one just after the other (back one slightly before the front one).
The height of pass breeds of horses varies between 13/2 and 15/2 hands and there is a wide variety of colors. One of the last two Pass Finds we have as our stud has closed: Reverse dapple bay gelding Winners El Carib (“Oak”).
His auntie Winners Miracles may be viewed gaining in pass Porto via a link from our home page at winners.co. Pass Finds are known for their crisp, four beat movement under saddle which makes for gentle smooth riding although with “trio”, and a biddable, friendly temperament.
His sire is the black Pass Fine stallion Primer Mercuric (by Engineer) out of Winners Islam de Flores (aka “Bee”). Her sire was the world champion (“Sundial”) pinto Pass Fine stallion Santana del Card.
Bee's grand sire was Prophet de Besilu, a Top Ten Pass Fine Stallion. Oak is microchipped and registered with both the FHA (USA) and New Zealand Iberian Horse Association.
