He commenced his riding career in 2010 with great success, winning Supreme Ridden Stallion at the 2011 Queensland State Championships and qualifying for “Dressage With the Stars” for the 4 yo FEI Young Horse class and competing successfully at the Sydney CDI in the 4yo horse class. Photo by Paula Maryann in 2012 Harmony Hills Argon is tall and well boned.
Straight and extravagant movement and a temperament to die for make him our sire of the future. He has commenced his official dressage career in 2017 with amazing scores and a wonderful can do attitude.
Leo is a pure Spanish stallion of excellent bone, outstanding conformation and superb temperament. He successfully competes in official Dressage and enjoys all work whether in the arena or out hacking.
A perfect gentleman with the ladies at all times, he is available for natural cover or chilled semen. Four times National Supreme Champion Led and Ridden under four different international judges he remains in a class of his own.
Straight moving and standing just over 16hh he epitomizes superb conformation, excellent bone and an exceptional temperament. Roberto is revised by the CIA Caballero as a PRE and registered by the Alpha. Romerito's unusual height of 17 hands enables him to perform breathtaking extensions, his classical conformation guarantees light collection.
With his rare color, bone size and height, Roberto's athleticism is the dream of Classical Dressage enthusiasts and serious Andalusian breeders. In partnership with Maryville Lodge Andalusian Stud we imported Roberto's frozen semen into Australia in 2005.
He was the Foundation Stallion at Asp era Torrent Farm in Canada and has now returned to Spain. Invasion is impeccably bred with Levi ton appearing in both the top and bottom of his pedigree.
Alcázar Andalusian Stud, located on the mid North Coast of NSW, is home to two of Australia's most highly regarded P.R.E. Stallions, Eco V and Necessary II (imported from Spain). Our focus is to breed Andalusian's (PRE's) of the highest quality in terms of performance, conformation and temperament.
They are trusting, friendly and well handled. Depending on the dam and sire, some foals are bred specifically for working equitation (being agile, balanced & compact), whilst others (with the necessary requirements of height and big, impressive movement) are bred for high level, competitive dressage. It was during a visit to Seville that I fell in love with this ancient breed, the Andalusian also known as the Pure Spanish horse or P.R.E. (Pure Gaza Espinoza). Andalusians are easily recognized by their strong, compact, yet elegant build with long, thick manes and tails.
There will be a dinner (cost $25) on the Saturday and the 2019 QLD Branch AGM will be held on the Friday night. Click below for the program. The 2018 Ahab National Championships were held at Queensland State Equestrian Center from 4th to 6th May.
Once you have ridden a Costarricence De Paso you will know what it feels like to float through the air on a cloud, to flow with your horse and to enjoy the most comfortable ride of your life. To connect with Alcázar Andalusian Stud, join Facebook today.

Fantastic prizes to be won and a great supportive atmosphere for all levels of competitors. The main topics of discussion were: VIRTUAL SHOW: Feedback including Judge’s and Competitor’s comments were presented to the meeting.
All up this proved to be a popular event, and Judges praised the high standard of presentation and training. It is anticipated that an extended Program will include Long Reining and Handler tests which will give younger horses more opportunities.
A date will be chosen to avoid the extremes of hot and cold weather during preparation and videoing. We wish to make clear that the changes to the Part bred Register will in no way affect the breeding, registration and purity of the Pure Spanish Andalusian's.
Main changes relate to the wearing of Safety Helmets to bring our Rules in line with the EA requirements. Clarification of the wearing of Safety Helmets in Costume Classes has been added, and in the interests of horse welfare, we have included mention of shaving whiskers and insides of ears.
Show Rules apply equally to all Members and State Branches. There have been a number of posts on the Ahab page reminding breeders of requirements.
29/08/2021 Nina Maker August 23 at 10:21 AM · Now that spring is nigh I thought it may be helpful to put a gentle reminder out there to my horsey friends, in particular Andalusian owners that with the sunshine getting brighter and the nights still cold, this is prime laminates weather. A few tips from my experience that you may find useful, please accept this in the helpful manner in which it is offered.
Andalusian ’s evolved in arid conditions and are naturally good doers, this can lead to a tendency for them to carry excess weight and as owners this can run the risk of it being normalized. In males a very fatty sheath, this is a big warning sometimes sign years in advance 7.
Remember that Andalusian ’s are very susceptible and can have issues just as easily from soaked hay (even meadow) as with fresh pasture 9. Once your horse has had a bout of laminates it is always at greater risk and will be infinitely more susceptible in future with much less driving environmental factors 11.
