Saddles increase speed and reduce drain rates on cores and stats. Saddles in Red Dead Online differ from the ones in the single player portion of the game.

At the base level, saddles are necessary for riding and calling your horse. If your horse is not saddled, it cannot come to you from the stables, and you’ll be left to ride shamefully across the wild west with Scrawny Nag.

Every 15 seconds on a fully bonded horse, you can press the soothe key to regain some stamina bar. If you have the hooded stirrups and a higher tier saddle, you will have nearly unlimited stamina.

The only saddle that adds three bars of speed and acceleration, reduces the stamina drain rate by 35%. It is not the only saddle that adds a drain rate reduction, but the only one that can also have the stirrups added.

Considering how early it is unlocked and that it does not cost gold, it makes it the best saddle available in Online. There are a couple of downsides to the Nacogdoches Saddle : the core drain rates are pretty poor.

The second is a matter of opinion: the saddle is ugly, and the few good color options it has done not make up for the terrible pattern and design. On average, the core drain rates are very good, and their stamina regeneration remains one of the best.

They are not the Nacogdoches Saddle and will not decrease the stamina drain, but you will not notice it with the use of Hooded Stirrups. They’re all top tier saddles, regardless and, depending on your preference, worth the cost.

Paired with the Hooded Stirrups, it is a worthy contender to the Nacogdoches Saddle. It only adds the standard two speed to your horse, but it is a beautiful saddle that happens to be very good.

Once the Hooded Stirrups are added, the stamina is still nearly unlimited with most saddles. While the Nacogdoches Saddle is the best in Red Dead Online, if stamina is your main concern, worry about the stirrups more.

This saddle is one of the better-looking ones, preferring a scenic design over an unusual pattern. It is one of the best -looking saddles in the game with an understated black, red, and gold design.

As with all the saddles, the stamina drain rate is negligible when paired with the Hooded Stirrups. It does have the best core drain rates of the saddles, saving some money on horse feed.

It looks great on every horse since it relies on accessories more than color or design. Like the horse for the Trader role, the saddle is well-rounded but doesn’t excel in any particular area.

It’s also a good-looking saddle that doesn’t clash with any particular horse breed or coat. However, Special Saddles are preset, cannot add stirrups, and already have them equipped.

The Bear Dakota Saddle is good if you have the gold for it and like the design. It is slightly worse than the Fletcher Saddle when it comes to stats, but you will save money by not needing to buy stirrups to go with it.

It doesn’t have the best design of the Special Saddles category but has a good regeneration rate for the price. Its drain rates are comparable to the higher priced role saddles.

It still falls short of the role saddles, but only by about two percent for the lowest stats. I'm sitting right now at a little over $500 in my wallet, and a 3-star bootlegger run soon to do, which will give me enough to get the last camp theme that I still lack, the Collector one.

In fact, let me make a list of the things I want to buy, not counting, of course, the new stuff once it's available, and any weekly drip feed items that get added for a limited time to the clothing store that I might want to pick up while it's available. Later, when I've got the time to do this, I'll try and put costs from the game in an update, so I know how much money I truly need to earn to get what I want.

Collector camp theme The remaining Crimps outfits that I don't already have Four new stable stalls (one is extra, for the upcoming horse. A turbofan horse a Missouri foxtrotted horse A white Arabian, unless there's a great deal on black Arabians, because I hate spending gold.

I'm kinda been a little honeying for the other top tier color kladrubar. Lancaster repeater collector variant skin (I don't like the bounty hunter bolt action rifle, so I won't use it.

I also don't use the pump action shot gun ever, and I don't even have the sawed off shotgun, so I don't care about the variant appearances much.) I think I'm done with buying bounty hunter outfits, but maybe while they're still on sale I'll have a quick look at the colored variants to see if their any that I really want to have.

The bounty hunter eye patch A gun belt flask I have one of the rings, but I still need the other one. For the horses, the Arabian or second Kladrubar plus the cougar saddle would probably be the lowest priority to buy of almost all the items on this list.

The stats for horses and saddles aren't all that they're cracked up to be; once you've maxed out your horse bonding, most of the performance is about the same anyway unless you're literally in a race or drawn-out combat with someone, and even then, the differences aren't usually as big a deal as they're made out to be. I imagine that the Collector will be nerfed as an easy source of money, so I'll continue to slow walk the trader role and do moonshine runs as my main source of income.

But I imagine that it'll be similar to the Moonshiner in the sense that it will provide a relatively decent source of income, will have some story missions, and will have a bunch of stuff to unlock as you go through the 20 level role progression, including a new type of horse and tack. Each victim the RDR2 serial killer leaves out in the world has a clue nearby.

Much like the first mysterious shack, RDR2 ’s first serial killer victim is quite close to one of the starting areas, designed to pique your interest so you keep an Eagle Eye out for more… Find the first clue from the serial killer here, southeast of Valentine. Travelling below the train tracks will reveal the body, or what’s left of it.

Postmodern expressionism, the artist clearly feels shackled and... dismembered. But unlike most quests, there’s nothing to signpost where the next steps are. Eagle Eye helps, but you can follow the trail of blood. True to form, there’s a disembodied head nearby, with a scroll stuffed into a novelty face-hole.

Just a little southeast of Braithwaite Manor is where you can find the second serial killer clue. But we still need the third piece… Back towards Valentine, if you go southwest and a bit south of Wallace Station, you’ll come across the third clue deep into the woods.

Find the third clue here, where the serial killer has left another morbid present. Follow the same formula, and use your Eagle Eye if you get lost. On the back of the full serial killer map are the words CAN YOU FIND ME. This just so happens to look like a run down shack that’s quite close to Valentine.

There also appears to be a safe combination, but Arthur will use that to open the serial killer’s locked door. Investigate the serial killer’s hideout, and in the very back there’ll be a knife you can inspect.

He’s not too hard to fight off, and you can hogtie him and take him back to the sheriff’s office in Valentine to collect your reward. Dead Eye makes it pretty easy to pop the serial killer in the head and save the sheriff.

Started in competitive Counter-Strike, then moved into broadcast, online, print and interpretative pantomime. Game is a fucking masterpiece. Almost convinced myself to pick up Creed Odyssey to soften the blow of how bad it's going to suck when the game finally ends.

I just sort of feel like it discourages train robberies, which, when they happen dynamically, are some of the coolest parts of the game. Agreed the wanted/witness system is VERY sensitive and overly in favor of the game (it's as obvious as Mario Karts rubber banding and blue shells, which, to me, is bad design/gameplay system, as it should appear fair and subtle even if it's not behind the scenes).

Kinda discourages you from doing much bad stuff, but I guess it just makes it that much sweeter when you pull off a successful robbery etc. Keeps the economy in check and you down the righteous path.so far any time actual lawmen get to me I die within seconds.

I think what also makes it difficult is that most of the ways that can help you when wanted or about to be... are associated with you horse (speed to get away, speed to catch up to witness, guns on horse, change of outfits etc) and you're more likely than not to commit crimes off/away from your horse. Even when whistling it takes awhile for your horse to summon to be helpful really during those moments.

Frustrating moment last night: saw a similar horse as mine in town, jumped on without thinking/checking the map and unintentionally stole it, tried to return the horse but got shot down immediately. Theres just so many little god-damn issues like that that just keep poking at me through the play through. Overall the game shines, but it's beginning to feel like death by 1000 paper cuts.

Took so lots of people have kindly praised my Camp Basics/Pearson guides, so I threw everything into a single video. I tried to pack as much basic info into an easy-to-understand guide.

I was doing one of the homestead robberies, and stormed a shack to take out one of the remaining guys taking shots at me from inside, once I got in I turned around and just started hammering fire, and Arthur was close enough that he pushed the guy to the wall and stuck the gun barrel under his chin and fired. Game is a fucking masterpiece. Almost convinced myself to pick up Creed Odyssey to soften the blow of how bad it's going to suck when the game finally ends. This is the only game I've ever played where I've wanted to replay it straight away.

I'm going to make a new save game at each chapter though, so I can experience the camp atmosphere during different times of the game when I want. SpoilerI miss the camp during the Chapter 3 era the most. Already stopped playing after I stuck at chapter 3 for almost a week, not that because there were any bugs, but I was too lazy to do the missions.

I was always just wandering around the world, and started looking for treasures and having fun pushing people off the cliff. Took so lots of people have kindly praised my Camp Basics/Pearson guides, so I threw everything into a single video.

Why are a couple of them immersive and built into the world and the rest a bunch of floating menus.... Did they throw UI together in the last couple of months? Donating perfect carcasses to Pearson also guarantees that next day's stew gives a fortified health core (and dead eye core if you have the upgrade).

You also need the triggers for dead eye draws. It will be like that time I used a PS1 controller on my PS2 and kept wondering why Snake was straight up splitting throats.

I just can't find any focus or motivation to progress the game. It is own genre, there is nothing of the old video games I used to play 30 years ago, it's basically the opposite.

There is no challenge at all, any thinking is superfluous, is slow, even clumsy, imprecise, progression is laughable, quest design is bare bone, repetitive. Something like naughty dog has tried to produce, but refined, perfected, daring and shot in a huge open world.

So my guilty pleasure, at my age I can afford to allow myself to be fooled by a game. I have the right weapon, dead-eye for a headshot, shoot, and they always creep away.

Unfortunately they seem to be like the Nero Paris saddle and override the other horse equipment slots. They do have better stats than bought saddles but once you factor in the loss of the stirrup bonus, it doesn't seem worth it.

I acquired a “special lure” for legendary fishing by completing a side quest. In the online game, doing things like finding those legendary pelts to craft items will be a worthwhile pursuit for many because it will provide differentiation from other players.

Will it improve your gameplay or help you win? In the single player game this kind of things don't matter because you're just competing against yourself.

I didn't really pursue the pelts or dinosaur bones in the single player game, but if this kind of activities exist Online I'm more likely to give it a try. I have the right weapon, dead-eye for a headshot, shoot, and they always creep away.

For 3 buckets of milk and a barrow full of horse shit you can grab one of those funny looking clothes in RD RO. Unfortunately they seem to be like the Nero Paris saddle and override the other horse equipment slots.

Doesn't seem worth it to me since hay is so cheap and you probably don't even need to feed your horse more than once a day to keep cores up. Game is a fucking masterpiece. Almost convinced myself to pick up Creed Odyssey to soften the blow of how bad it's going to suck when the game finally ends.

Oh, man. After having checked more discussions I really can't find myself anymore in all their complaining about the game being so slow and hating on there being now fast travel. Sure it sucks when u have to travel really far, but then they have cinematic mode and the horse can auto run for you with is great.

The ONLY thing I hate is the tedious slowness of those wagons lol. Oh, man. After having checked more discussions I really can't find myself anymore in all their complaining about the game being so slow and hating on there being now fast travel.

Via train and your camp upgrades. Or am I thinking of a different type of FT. I think the fast travel only works by predetermined destinations like a specific city.

I don't think you can pick a random spot in the woods and fast travel there for example. I think the fast travel only works by predetermined destinations like a specific city.

I don't think you can pick a random spot in the woods and fast travel there for example. They are key places, but you get in the general area in which you need to head.

You can fast travel by train too which is what I eventually started doing after 60+ hours of constant horse riding. You can fast travel by train too which is what I eventually started doing after 60+ hours of constant horse riding.

You can fast travel by train too which is what I eventually started doing after 60+ hours of constant horse riding. I haven't used the train yet, does your horse follow like it does with the carriage or are you stuck on foot or stealing transportation when you get to your destination? I'm still in Chapter 3 and taking my time at this point.

I love the slow pace but it feels crazy when I only get 1 mission done in a 2-3 hour gameplay session. I love the slow pace but it feels crazy when I only get 1 mission done in a 2-3 hour gameplay session. It feels like any time I'm not actively looking for them, they're all over the place, squealing away.

Finished the game 2 days ago and working my way towards 100% completion. I love the game to bits and its probably in my top ten of all time already but no way will I 100% it.

I love the game to bits and its probably in my top ten of all time already but no way will I 100% it. Finishing all challenges, getting 70 gold medals in mission and some hunting requests.

Are there benefits to getting gold in a mission?side note: experienced a ton of dynamic poo last night. It was quite underwhelming as the graphics on my PS4 just made it look like brown pixel specs water falling out.

Don't think ill be able to set up my dream scenario of burying someone in it though or killing someone with it dropping from a high cliff I just can't find any focus or motivation to progress the game.
